Driveways

A new driveway is the single biggest change you can make to the front of a house. We design and install driveways across Laois and Carlow, handling excavation, drainage, edging and the finished surface so the result looks right and holds up under daily vehicle use.

We work in every surface so you are not pushed into one material. Gravel is the most cost-effective option and goes down quickly with a crisp, traditional look. Tarmac gives a clean, seamless finish that suits longer driveways and larger areas. Concrete block paving is the all-round favourite — very durable, huge choice of colours and patterns, and easy to repair. Clay brick adds traditional character with colour that lasts. Natural stone in limestone, sandstone or granite brings real presence to a period or larger home, and porcelain is the premium modern choice, frost resistant and almost maintenance free.

Whichever surface you choose, the groundwork underneath is what decides how long it lasts. We dig out to the right depth for vehicle loading, install a compacted sub-base, set haunched edge restraints, and get the falls and drainage right so surface water runs away from the house instead of pooling at the door.
