Turf Lawn

A fresh turf lawn transforms a garden in a single day. We lay professionally grown rolled turf for family gardens across Laois and Carlow, taking care of everything from clearing the ground to the finished, level green surface.

The process is straightforward but the preparation is what makes it last. We strip out old grass, weeds and debris, rotavate or till the ground, remove stones and rubble, add topsoil where the ground is poor, then rake and level so there are no dips or hollows. The turf is delivered fresh, laid in staggered rows with tight joints, cut neatly to borders and paths, then firmed down and watered in.

Compared with grass seed, turf gives you an instant, usable lawn. Seeding can take several months to establish and stays vulnerable to weather, birds and weeds the whole time, while turf is walkable within a couple of weeks and looks finished from day one — which matters most on a new build or a garden that has just had paving or fencing completed.
